Rarly is right on this, of course. Unless you are pushing big air and numbers, or plan to, getting one made for you is probably over the top.

pic of euro 930 exhaust for Rarly8
![]() another alternative is to contact fellow pellicanite Tab Tanner (Autobahn Garage) in Ohio, he can gut your present muffler for a fraction of the cost. added bonus, he knows what he's doing Bill K

If you are planning to make big hp and/or run track events you'll be happy you spent the money on a custom 321 exhaust. I would imagine it'll run around $3500. A 304 exhaust will crack much sooner than 321. Even faster with track events. You really shouldn't reweld them if you find cracks since any slag inside the exhaust could go through the turbo.

RarlyL8 you don't mean to suggest that a stock Euro 930 is making over 400hp do you?

All I've done is a K27-7200, B&B IC and SC cams. Everything else stock except for an aluminum pressure plate. What would be the next step, aside from different muffler, to increase output?

No, a stock Euro 930 makes 300HP.
A stock Euro 930 exhaust can support 400+ HP. Same goes for the stock Euro CIS. Pat, your engine configuration is similar to mine. With the large intercooler you can now run 1.0bar boost. With those mods you will be at 400HP. If you plan to go past that point the CIS will have to be looked at and headers become more of a need than a want.

Euro Fuel head or Imagine fuel head mod, tial wastegate and headers as far as the bolt on stuff goes you are on the right track. The cams and the turbo you have selected run out of steam at the 5400 rpm mark, so you power tapers off there.

I disagree about the power band. My motor pulls strong to 7000rpm in all 5 gears. It does "taper" a bit in 5th but at that speed it is to be expected.
My Motor: K27-7200 SC Cams B&B Intercooler Euro Exhaust 0.75bar down from 1.0bar due to fear.

Rarly, that Euro exhaust looks like the one I had on my 87 motor. Is it possible that my 87 US engine could be equipped with Euro exhaust? I also must say that changing stock exhaust to GHL headers and muffler made a significant difference.

All 930s from '86 on had the Euro heat exchangers. US models had a cat after the turbo.
Headers do add significant power, about 20HP over the Euro exhaust from the dyno charts I've seen. Is that worth ~$3500? Not to me, there are much cheaper ways to make power with these cars. Euro exchangers or headers are manditory to ALLOW you to make more power with other bolt-ons. With the '86-on cars you simply replace the cat/muffler combo with a free flowing muffler. So if the goal is 400HP you don't NEED headers. They're neat, they look nice, add a little power, reduce lag a little, yadda yadda. Just not worth the price unless you're going for big power or you wish to absolutely optimise performance at any cost -- but then you'll need EFI, and that's a whole nother can of expensive worms.
