What Engine?
This car is on an auction site for sale and advertised as a 1976 carrera 3.0.
I understand that a carrera model would have had carrera hydraulic chain tensioners! If you look at the oil line on the left it does not appear to supply a tensioner on the cover. Also are the injection lines running from the pump/distributor on the top right down to the cylinder banks, standard set up for 3.0 carrera 76? ![]()

The Carrera 3.0 was a Euro only, CIS engined car with non-hydraulic tensioners. The '84 Carrera was the first year with "Carrera" tensioners.
I'm suprised to see a smog pump on that motor as they didn't come that with one from the factory as far as I know. Maybe someone added it to import it. C3's are rather rare but fun cars. They are lighter than the US SC's and have more horsepower. -Chris
