slide valve MFI runnability ??

Hi,
I'm planning to build a 2.7 RS spec twin plug to run in my 72 weekend driver. High butterfly are to expensive, so what about slide valve ?? Any experience with oem or aftermarket system ?

Does someone try to reproduce exact copy of the original ?

Thanks !

As stated many times...slide valves are prone to dirt.
If they stick open...your engine is toast.
I have been working on a set (from scratch) for myself.
As of this time, I have not solved the sticking problem.
I have installed so many sealed ball bearings for the slide to run on that my supplier is sending me valentine cards!...LOL
The Problem is in the area of the opening to the intake bore.
The charge will revert or back up into the slide area.
I have now redesigned the lower tube (to the intake) with an anti-reversion tube to try to keep the reverse pulses from hitting the slide.
More tests to follow.
Bob
