'99 996 speedometer shows wrong speed

I am told that the 5 mph (fast) variance is "normal" on this car. Does anyone know if thee is a software fix out there that my shop can use or what other solution there might be?
thanks

Reprogram your brain so it always subtracts 5mph from what you're seeing.
