Joe,
Car looks outstanding!!!!! How and where did you bring the harness from the DME into the engine? Did you take the harness between the rear shock tower and tub? Any pictures? I will also be running the B&B headers and mufler how did you move the engine and tran. forward 10mm?

Your car looks incredible Joseph!!

One suggestion though. You gotta remove all those extra keys from your Porsche key. The weight of them hanging on it will ruin your ignition switch.

Jim72911T,
Thanks man. Im looking foward to it.

Hey Bobby,
I just had them on ther with my other keys. I cant tell you how many times I have gotten to my shop and realized that I forgot my keyss Hows your project going?

79-911SC,
I take credit for most of the work but Alot of the ideas came from friends and this board. I am lucky that alot of guys on the board like Shuie were in the middle of the same conversion and could share info. Mark has a illistartion of his conversion on a website. That should shoe you the DME routing.

If you oblong the trans mount a bit as well as the bracket, You can actually slide the motor foward. I give credit to Tyson for that one. It definetly helped. I dont want to cook my rear bumper with the heat of the muffler.

there's a whole thread on cooking the FG bumpers... Bill V. & others said it was no problem. That was with some air gap, & for NA not turbo cars.

doug and julie,
Why dont you just upgrade the motor?
It's actually cheaper to backdate an 80s 3.2 Carrera than it would be to upgrade my motor, especially when you factor in newer brakes and suspension. Plus, there's that galvanizing thing we have to worry about in these parts...

Believe me, I've gone 'round and 'round with this...

Wow! That car is beautiful. Viper Green seems like just about the perfect color for a 911.

Are you bringing the car on the Big Bear run?

I remember Auto Farm in england doing a few of those. I think it was an excellence article. I think TRE has the special hood so you don't have to change latches.

450knotoffice,
I would like to go if I can register the car in time. I have quite a few expenses right now. If the weather is right I might take my brothers Duc. Gets uncomfortable after an hour or so. Well see.
