PerformanceProducts Purschase problem

Anyone had past problems with them? PerfomanceProducts.com
Called also automotion.

I ordered a carpet set end of may and it was shippped from Loyyds Mat May 2nd. Still no show yet. I called them and they said no tracking and they will contact Lloyds to "tried' to track it???

I paid Mastercard. should I call MC and try to cancel the payment which has been thru my account already or wait 10 days as they told me to FIND OUT if they find it?

I bought thru them as they were offering lower price and extra 10% for couple days which was a great rebate compare to anywhere else. But believe me last time they get my businness!!!

Any suggestions?

Tx

PS: never had ANY issues with all Pelican Parts order. Tx PelicanParts.com!!! AAA Customer Service A+++

How long has it been? Do some shipments from US take longer than others because of Customs?

I remember I sent a part to a fellow Pelican in B.C. once and it took about 2 weeks, and I sent it Priority Mail. He was kind of worried, but it finally showed up.

I don't think it custom problem as I ordered every month from our host and it takes 6-7 days to arrives. Regular shipping.

They have no clue where my order is and not friendly to help. 3 weeks for shipping is long.

I will wait till mid week next week and I will call MC to chargeback.

Tx for your reply.

performance parts

performance prods

I recently ordered some items and await their shipment but.......in talking to the salesman (remains nameless), it was explained to me that the online system is just a front, not really automated. In other words, he told me that the order is printed out and given to a clerk the next day who manually processes it and charges it and does all the things you would do in a mail order business like Sears did in the 1960's. I was at least impressed with his candor. Go figure.. I guess people want to be impressed with whiz-bang technology before they buy something online or they become skeptical..I would..

I have had some issues with them in the past. I ordered some items and after a couple of weeks and getting the royal runaround I was told the items were on galatic back order. I cancled the order and went with our host. It might also be a good idea to order by phone. Ask our host if they will match the price, they have been very good about price matching for me in the past. I feel an obligation to Pelican since they let me hang out here and tick people off but I'm also a bargin hunter and Pelican helps me keep that side of me happy.

I have ordered from them occasionally, never a problem. Actually they once helped me out when I could not get sufficient satisfaction on an order from Pelican. Mind you I try very hard to give as much business as I can to Pelican but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I have shipped parts to Canada and it has taken what seemed to be a ridiculous amount of time in transit. I do not think it is a problem with Performance but a problem with the shipping.

I received an order confirmation with a SHIPPED date of MAY 2th.
I just feel 3 weeks is long and they can't even give me an idea where is my shipment. they have my 150$ and I don't have my products. They told me they will tried to trace it but it will take between 5-10 days to have maybe an idea. Oh well!

Today I ordered some parts from our host and I received as usual a notification who pick the order and who pack it. I know 100% that next week someone will ring at my door with a PelicanParts box! Last week I ordered some parts from our host and BANG! 7 days later! DING DONG! Pelicanparts sir!

Anyway just my input! Stick with the best Parts Source! Pelican!

Right, there's really no point in ordering from them (or anyone else for that matter).

Since we installed our new system upgrade and streamlined our operations, our Customer Service Surveys have indicated a 27% increase in customer satisfaction. We've lowered prices, we offer FREE shipping on 85% of all hard parts, and we now offer same-day shipping on those parts. Plus, if you give us a ring, we can match the other catalog guys' prices. Pelican Parts - Why shop anywhere else?

I'm not eligible for FREE shipping as I'm in Canada. We are a group of 7 Porsche owners who order our parts together to combine our shipping and save. I didn't know about the price match. Now I know!!

Tx Wayne for your reply.

Wayne, while we are talking about parts. You might consider sending a truck from one shop to the other. The other day I went to order some parts of which one was free shipping and the other wasn't. The heavy jack stand had free shipping and the headlight seals from another shop had shipping of $9.00. Seems like maybe an extra day and one box might be in order. (I have no clue how far it is from one store to the other) I decided to just leave the items on my project list. Great idea by the way. Thanks.

definitely file a dispute with M/C - time is limited don't delay - if it arrives you can work out a reversal of the dispute later.

I think he has 60 days to dispute the transaction but he should check to be sure. At least with Pelican you get about 5 emails showing you what is going on.

I think you will find ocasional problems with just about any order from anyone at some point in time. I ordered a part form Pelican and it was sent USPS Priority Mail at my request. Took well over a week to go two states. Another time, I ordered a part from JaguarXP. I received a FedEX tracking but no movement. After repeated calls, I found that the package was sitting in a corner at the local (sernding) FedEx office goinf nowhere fast or slow.

I worked in credit card processing....When you open a dispute, the merchant usually responds very fast as they need to prove the product was delivered (signed), if not MC refunds automatically. The customer is the cardholder....not the merchant. You can have up to 180 days to dispute a charge (depending on the situation). Do it now though because it will increase the speed at which the merchant will send you the carpets (or even better cancel and order from our host....

San Francisco versus LA. It's the only practical way we could offer FREE shipping. Just about everything in this world is a tradeoff. So far, 95% of our customers like the FREE shipping idea...

USPS is pretty reliable, although there are slowdowns once and awhile. In general, I think we're the only ones out there who even offer service through USPS (which is cheap, and fast).

As much as I don't like our competition - receiving chargebacks is a very negative experience. For the sake of everyone involved, I would try a few more (painful) phone calls to their customer service line. I'm just so anti-chargeback.

While we're talking shipping charges, why is it that a package from Pelican can be shipped to Florida free, yet free shipping to BC Canada (directly north of WA state) not available? Of course I'm not talking about brokerage or customs fees and Canadian taxes. Not complaining, just asking (I still order from Pelican... just for the stickers!) Wayne, I guess this question is for you. Is there a very different structure for international shipping?
Thanks,
Derek

Hell it works for me. I just got my new engine/trans mounts. They qualified for free shipping so I bumed it up to 3 day air for $6. I got my parts fast and cheep. I like the new setup. I just wish I could use it more often. Ok Wayne can you send my brown noising self a cat bypass pipe for free?

Wayne, the Pelican "free shipping" deal is great, but has some odd aspects. I just ordered a oil pressure sending unit and the 75-cent washer that goes with it. No charge for shipping the sender, but the washer shipping cost a couple of bucks.
