How do I modify my muffler to work here.
I have a 2.7S in a 90 c2 updated car. The muffler on the motor is a 2 in 1 out. My problem lies with the output being on the drivers side, and the cutout on a C2 rear bumper is on the pass side. Can I block off and cut a new hole in the muffler on the correct side or do I buy a 2 in 2 out and just block one output off. What do I do?? Surely this update has been done many times.
Thanks Nathan |

I did a few C2 updates a few years back and I took the car to a muffler shop and have them fabricate a new piece for the exit on the passenger side. They will weld up the hole from the existing hole. Im sure somebody makes an exhaust that will vent out the passenger side. Goodluck on what you decide.

that is the way im gonna go too, I wasn't sure if the baffle inside would stop me from doing that. Was it just as loud as before the mod or louder or quieter??
Thanks Nathan

Take the valance off...all they do is trap heat and road crud.....polish the muffler up....

The stock banana muffler is unbaffled on the passengers side. If you open it up on that side it will be LOUD. My suggestion would be to either replace your muffler with a custom unit or add a cutout to the valance and make your muffler dual-out with a fake tailpipe on the passengers side.
