new tbars, angle attack change
I am about to swap out tbars on my wife's '84 Carrera. I am going from stock bars in the rear (~24 mm) to 28 mm (a great Pelican used parts deal was had a week ago). Rather than going through an iterative, multi-swap i/o process of bar indexing (indicing?). Does anybody have BTDT tricks of how much to compensate for the new bars based on the swingarm's original height (scribed) with the stock tbar? Some of you know what I am asking and I would appreciate any insight you might have to share, which might save me some hours in this job. TIA (thank in advance) guys.

There's not much of a way to know directly. I would use Wil and Thom's calculator. For me, going from 25's to 29's, it was only off by a degree or two, so it will get you in the right ballpark to start off with. You WILL be taking them apart a few times; trust me on this.
You will also need an angle-finding gauge, so if you don't have one, you'll need to find one somewhere. Good luck, ianc
