Question on wheel/tire offset for wide body converted.
My car is the non-turbo but converted to turbo wide. Right now I am running 16x7 front and 16x9 rear with some really wide adapter. I think the front adapter is 2.5" and the rear is 3", or vice versa. Still, the car look like it's carrying a set of too narrow wheels/tires.
I am thinking of going to 17" or 18" wheels, have not looked deeply in it yet. Anyone know what kind of wheel offset that I don't have to use adapter anymore? If possible. Thanks.

You can run 9.5x11 wheels with 275 and 315 tires, probably. Your backspacing will probably be somewhere around six inches -- but it's better to be able to test fit wheels before you have a set made. Your hubs may or may not be standard.

Stock Carrera has 5.5" backspacing available with no spacers.
Measure each of your wheel wells from the inner fender lip to the wall to get the total available width. Measure from the face of the 5 lug hub to the wall to verify my 5.5" backspacing figure is true for your car.
