I have replaced my MFI with PMO's. On cold start-up I slowly pump the gas pedal a few times and turn her over at about quarter throttle. I have to rev her to about 3000 rpm initially to keep her from dying. Then I have to keep the engine at about 2000 rpm for at least 5 minutes to get her to idle. My question is, is this normal or how can I fix it. Also, at stop signs and lights, if it put it in neutral from third gear or higher rpm's, the revs drop fast and sometimes the engine dies again. I have to do some fancy footwork to keep this from happening. What is the problem I am trying to fix?

What is your fuel system? Did it start happing all of a sudden or a long-standing issue? What temperature is it outside or in your garage?

Its been happening for a long time, even when i had MFI if i remember correctly. Witht the MFI, the engine died all the time when taken out of gear. This is why I have the PMO setup. Starting temp is between 60-80 deg F in the garage
