What do auto heat flapper boxes look like?
I see several other people have the same question, but I haven't been able to find a thread. Are they any different than regular flapper boxes with the exception that they have the sensor installed?
Thanks and Happy Father's Day to everyone. Rich

The flapper boxes are the same. The auto-heat sensor is actually located between the sunvisors.
The boxes are located under the car.

There is also a sensor that is riveted to the driver's side flapper box. It routes under the carpet to the heater control panel between the seats. Looking at the PET, it appears that this sensor isn't even riveted to the flapper box but to a seperate extension tube.

The pic above is from an Autoheat car. As you turn the control, the servo pulls a cable which pulls another cable to open/close the valve. The HE temp sensor is just that. The cockpit temp sensor is between the visors or on the dash depending upon year & car type. I believe the flappers for manual & auto are the same.
