Replacing Dash on a 78

Anyone know if you have to remove the windshield to replace dashboard on a 78?

Pat, yes you do have to remove the windshield to remove the dash. So if you are replacing the dash you will also need a new gasket for the windshield. Because it is impossible to get the black (or chrome) trim that surrounds the windshield out without bending it, if you do not use a razor knife and cut the windshield gasket.

101 projects has a full report on replacing the dash, and also window removal and installation. If you do not already have the book I highly suggest you pick up a copy.
