no changes, just a stand off from the old airbox mount hole to hold up the AFM better, keeps it more stable and supports the afm since the airbox isn't holding it up anymore. Should keep the stock boot connected to the afm as well since it's pretty much secure there now.

Slightly off-topic, but has anyone tried a centrifugal compressor?
The installation of one would be easy. No exhaust modifications, no oil lines (self contained) and the characteristic of the engine would be like a N/A engine. I have no experience with them but I read that they get their max boost high in the rpm typically 1000 rpm before red line. Wouldn't that suit our k-jetronic engines that loses power over 5000 rpm?

Is that your wide band sensor mounted horizontally after the turbo? If i remember right when i was installing an LM-1 wide band in a 951 they recommended to install the sensor as close to vertical (pointing down inside the exhaust) as possible, with i think only 30 degrees of variance.

That "Y" looks like cast iron. Did you make that or source it?

I had done a top end about 10,000 miles before doing this but stock compression and It was night and day difference in performance.. I had it on a dyno doing AFR's but I am not going to quote the HP rating as speculation says it was not accurate. However at 3000 rpm it was producing 150 HP at the wheels ..
Anyhow here is a link for someone selling the ssi crossover super cheap, cheaper then I can sell one for Elephant, Tarett, M&K, 930 Parts for sale

well just a little bit of info on my engine after the overboost.
cylinder 3 has erosion and cylinder 1 in major scoring and the ring land is broken. So note to self and everyone else be careful of the boost signal line and run a boost guage

Overboost
Ben,
MSnS-Extra software (downloaded into MegaSquirt) has a overboost and over rev protection. It will cut fuel (and spark of you are controlling it through MegaSquirt) once the thresholds your program are hit. Could have saved your engine... It is somewhat more complex than the standard B&G software, but probably worth the time spent learing it in your case. Cheers, Tony
