What's the maximum no. of passengers you've had in your 911?

Curious. Not counting pets nor yourself as driver, what's the max. number of passengers you've had with you in your 911?

So far only three passengers in my 911. But when I was twenty years old (twenty years ago) I had a 924 ´76. I remember driving to a party with six of my friends cramped in. Four in the back and two in the passenger seat.

I can´t vote - that option is not listed.

Markus, I can’t top that.

Six adults including myself in my ’68 911 coupe at a Parade. Monterrey ‘73 I think. We considered one or two in the trunk but nixed that for safety – ha, it was full of tools and two race tires. This was many years ago when we all had less girth and more flexibility (I was 6’3” and 145#).

The configuration was three in back – two seated and the third sorta across their laps. One in the passenger seat and the other in his lap and on the shifter. I recall being concerned about what I was shifting. I had the driver’s seat all the way forward so I could operate the turn signals with my knees. The wipers were a problem. The discussion was we could squeeze in another two and still operate the car. We considered asking Dr. Porsche. Needless to say, everyone must be very good friends.

I can see the California ticket we should have gotten - DWTMP (Driving With Too Many Passangers). Probably worse. "But officer, there are four seatbelts." Probably much worse.

This was still in the era of stuffing phone booths and VW Beetles.

Incredibly my 911 has gotten smaller over the years. Or is it ….

Best,
Grady

I thought of putting "other", however thought (not certain) that was above "legal capacity" for passengers at least in my 911.

Do children count as (1) or as (1/2)?

What is the "legal capacity" of a phone booth? One? We are talking about concenting adults without protruding from windows, Targa tops, sunroofs, doors, hatches and the like.

Who has more input? Surely a 911 can approach a VW.

Best,
Grady

I was in the back of a 911 for the first time ever the other week. Wow, I thought it looked cramped, but to actually contort myself into that glorified package shelf was shocking.

Thankfully coldstart has a targa, as I managed to get my head up and into the wind, or else I would have needed a chiropractor for sure.

911's are for you and a beautiful partner, anything else is crazy.

I don't know if Phil qualifies as a beautiful partner....I'm sure you could have fit in there no problem 8 months ago....

I actually find it quite comfie back there. Not comfie enough to ask the GF if she wants to stretch out back there, but that's another story.

Angry

Oh great, a fat joke!

Actually, come to think of it, I guess with me and all my new found weight, your 911 was running with 90% of the weight over the back wheels. Better put me in the trunk next time...

Shouldn't the question be how many blondes have you had in your 911?

I know that five of them will fit.

stupid question...are 911's technically considered 2 seaters or 4? w/ 2 people on board, are they allowed in "carpool" lanes?

I have had up to six in my Targa. 4 cousins in back and 1 in front and myself for a ride down the block. After that I removed the rear seats and seatbelts so now a maximum of 2 can ride in the P-car.
