Whats part are needed for a turbo set up?

What parts are needed to add a turbo to my car. I have a 3.0L and woudl like to add a turbo but dont know anythign about it. I see people selling K27 turbos and stuff liek that but what else is needed?

My thoughts are to maybe buy all the stuff over a period of a year as I get money and then install it once its all complete. Is this feasible?

There are many many ways to engineer a turbo system.
Probably the easiest would be to use stock 930 parts. The Euro style exhaust system is not too expensive used and will take care of the exhaust side. For the intake side you can take a look at the BAE installs or use a stock 930 CIS system. The only fab work needed if you choose stock parts is the oil drain line for the turbo oil reservior.

There are many threads on this subject.

the mechanical side is ez to plentifully to choose from. Lots of diff turbos and plumbing..thats the ez part . You absolutely need a engine management sys to keep it all Alive as it will do a meltdown w.o. one. Again lots available (SDS , Electromotive etc)

Ben, just out of interest, any news on the turbo kit you were developing for 3.0s and 3.2s?

Whaaaaaaat???? You obviously haven't converted a stock SC to a 300HP turbocharged monster with K-Jet CIS......and put 60,000 reliable milles on it.

Whatever....everyone's entitled to their OPINION....

Stock 930 CIS parts (obviously) will do all these things. Just bolt them onto the 3.0L long block. The dizzy takes care of the retard and the WUR takes care of boost enrichment.
There are a host of aftermarket products that also perform similar functions. Technology has improved just a wee bit in 30 years.

Put on several pots of coffee and dig into tsuter's threads. There must be a thousand lines of info spawned from the original posts.

Hmm ok, I always thought 930 turbo was pretty stone age ...with their low static c/r....so you have got this all figured out ?? I think I want to buy the formula or plan.....might be lots cheaper then electromotive or sds ??

So are these commercially available then, Ben? What are the prices etc? I'm not in the market for a turbo at the moment, but I'd be very interested to hear.
