Airbox Questions . . . .
I just received an airbox base which I purchased from a fellow Pelican- I am carving out the base plate from the stock airbox base (which conect the airbox to the AMF) and using it as an adapter plate for a new air intake like so...
 What does this connect to below??? Is this an unused opening in the airbox base which is plugged? I am not near my car to get a look under the "hood" so your comments are much appreciated.

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it goes to the oil tank neck on the right side of the engine bay. That is where mine goes but my car is not at all stock and could have been routed there in error.

That's where all the excess oil goes when you overfill the oil tank....

Hmm. . . . now this change doesn't seem like such a bright idea, but then again I don't plan on over-filling with oil...

You better find a "place" for the hose...or you will have a vapor-mess in the engine compartment....
best is to go back into the intake tract as stock. Or....tube into the side of a container, with a small cone filter on top and a drain valve on the bottom...more "junk" to add ! - Wil

Just go to auto part store and buy a small spongious air filter...I have put this on mine along with the performance air filter...
