993 Caliper/ Rotor Adapter is here.
Promised a while back that I would post pics when we were finished with these, well here they are. Thanx to Bert Beagle, We've got the adapters finished and I must say they look fantastic. Still got to figure out the brake line, not sure I like this layout, any ideas? BTW these are '95 993tt Calipers and rotors. Read further...

MMM sexy. That sure is an interesting way the caliper bolts up the strut. Kind of an improvement in size over your old M's, eh?

I'd make a hard line and bolt up to the flex line at the strut, like stock. While mine isn't as shiny as yours, here's a pic:

Ed is right,...
![]() That prevents a long flex line from interfering with the swaybar arms when the wheels are turned. BTDT, and thats a real pisser when the SS line gets torn loose,............

What hubs are used? I just turned down an old 911 hub for testing, rumor is the proper hub is a 944. Are the adaptors commercially available?

Tom- Yea these are much bigger and more noticeable. How's your project coming?
John- I'm using turned down 911 hubs, they seem to have enough material still so I'm not too worried. The adapters are available at Pro-systems braking 704-799-8100 ask for Ashley.

Looks good, I wouldn't run the brake like like that either.
You will need 993 or 965 calipers on 930 rotors in the back as well, unless Ashley can come up w/ an off the shelf Brembo w/ ~30/34 pistons that will accept a 309x28mm rotor. ps I edited the original post to get a better presentation

Thanx Bill, Yes were going with 993 rear calipers and 930 rotors. I'm really looking for a good way to do the front line, any ideas or pics? Thanx, Duke

On second look that caliper does not appear to be a 993 caliper. It looks to be a 993tt caliper. The rotor does look llike a 993 front rotor. If so the caliper is not a good fit for the rotor. True 993 front calipers will use the same adaptor.

Bill, I'm confused again. These calipers seem to be 993tt but the 993 c2 pad works in them. Are the tt calipers wider? What issues do you mean as far as fitment to rotor?

The tt pad is a few mm taller, and does not have the holes for a pad puller
In this pic far to near, 993tt front, 993tt rear(same as n/a 993 front), 993rear(same as 964 f/r and 930 f/r) ![]()

we'll have to look closer at this, the 993 c2 pads fit perfect and the tt pads don't seem to, as they are too tall. Could you measure a tt caliper pad area? maybe from the striker plate bend to the top of the pad area? Mine measures 65mm. Thanx again and sorry to be such a bother, Duke

You can differentiate between the 2 calipers by the raised knob above the lettering and on the outside edge of the pad box on the tt

Duke,
Did you turn down the hubs so the rotors can slip over? Looks good! Doug

Looks really sweet Duke. Bill sets the bar high but I like what you're doing with those 993 rotors. Were they hard to find? I wonder if anyone has ever tested (stop distance) the difference between a stock Carrera alloy brake and the 993's? I would think it would be a substancial gain, eh?
