Windshield problem
 

I've just gotten a 1973 911 T targa. Overall the car is in good shape but The seals on the windshield at the top and bottom are pulling away a little - causing about a 2 inch long gap between the seal and the frame. it is a very small opening. Also the windshield is very slightly loose. I think the seals are old but they have no signifcant crakcing. It is not the orginal windsheild. So I am wondering if it is the seals or an aftermarket windshield that does not fit just right ? can the seals shrink over time ? But would they shrink in just two places?
