Early 930. The progression of KKK turbochargers for Porsche was 5222, 5316, then the more commonly recognized 5326 and 5327 K26 and K27.
I wouldn't put it on my car. Someone probably took it off theirs...
It would be nice to see the cast number on the other side.

Are you saying it is a stock turbo from a 76 or 77 930.

Actually, I bought it here on the board. Someone sold it to me saying that it was a k27 (I did not ask for pics, now I think I should have. Big suprise when I opened the box today)

Thanks

Ed

Here is the lookup table for you.
The 5316 I believe are for twins. The 5222 was used only on 3.0L it looks like.

Thanks alot tsuter, I have now contacted the seller with this info.

I am looking to go back to single turbo after scrapping the idea of putting the twin turbo parts from the imagine auto monster on the car.

If you have a 3.0L maybe its not too bad. My choice would be TO4E 54 for a 3.0 but it gets a bit murky with the new Garretts.

Hi,

No, I have a 3.3L with aftermaket efi and carrera intake. I used to have a k27 7200 on it and that worked really well. That is why I was trying to get another k27.

I have a 2.1 turbo race motor as well in my racer. I have a gt30r in that. Runs well and puts out 345 to the ground. Full boost does not come on until about 4500, but in a race car who needs it to come on earlier.

Thanks

Ed
