Anyone ever install the P O R S C H E side stripes?
Did you use warm soapy water or just stuck them on?
Did you cut them into 3 pieces prior to installation or after afixed to the car? Any info would be appreciated.

Not quite the PORSCHE stipe, but I am sure the process is the same. I installed these during the summer with some help from my brother. We found that the best approach was to use as much water as possible. We actually used a full bucket of water with soap for each side. Keep it really wet so that you can move it round on the car until you are happy with the positioning. Then leave it for the night. If you try to pull the backing tape off to early it will just pull the text of as well...

![]() I've done it with soapy water and without. There are disadvantages to each, but the situation is a lot less forgiving without the water. I tape the whole decal into position (along the top edge) before I do anything else, then remove the backing paper that's touching the car starting at one end and adhere as I go toward the other end. I make the cuts for the door lines as I get close to having the decal adhered up until that point. If you're using water, use an old credit card to squeegee out the bubbles. A pin will also help with the last few annoying bubbles once the decal has dried. Unlike with temporary, track-day-only decals, I wouldn't apply any wax before you put the decals on. In fact, I'd clean off the old wax in that area. Don't forget that there's a left-side decal and a right-side one. They're not interchangeable. Also keep in mind that you don't want to stretch the decal. It will lose its shape. There are other people on the board who have a lot more experience with this than I do, though. Hopefully, they'll sound in as well.

When I do decals, I 'mist' the back of the decal with spray. Sprays available here: http://www.beacongraphics.com/application-solutions.html
