8" 944 Turbo Fuchs on SC front end

Does anybody here have first hand experience/knowledge of what it takes to run 8x16 944 Turbo Fuchs on the front of an SC?

I've been told that it can't be done for a street car, i.e. it requires far too much negative camber to make it practical for street use, and it requires rolling of the fender lip.

I'm not too worried about the fender lip deal, but the camber thing might if you need to run a ton of it.

I like the look of the Fuchs, and would like to have a better balanced (size wise) setup with 9x16 in the rear and 8x16 up front. I don't think a 7" F/9" R setup maintains the original balance.

Course this is all just talk at this point since I just have the 6s and 7s, and the 8s and 9s are real pricey.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Anderson say's that 8x16 Fuchs from the rear of 944's will work on the front and 9x16 911 Turbo Fuchs will work on the stern. What I have seen is you need to try it out with the tire and wheel on YOUR car some cars are a bit different. Remember they build these cars almost one at a time they are not build by the millions.

I know a guy in the PCA who has 8x16 rims. I don't know if they are the 944 rims. He has lots of negative camber and it looks like they will hit but they don't for some reason. I am going to try to get 9s and 7s for mine. But 9s are outrageous $

I have a 76 930 and run the 944 turbo 8X16 fuchs in front with 911 turbo 9X16 fuchs in the rear. I have no rubbing and still use rather large tires, 225/50 and 255/50. If you can get them to fit on an SC, I recommend it. I take the car in the hills regularly going at speeds which I'd rather not post. The car is solid and when pushed to the limit has great balance between front and rear grip. By the way, I have .4 degrees negative camber on the front and 1.0 degrees negative in the rear.
