where to find big red front adapters

Hey everyone,
Everytime I replace brake rotors this comes up, and once again I'm hoping someone will chime in with a solution... I have a big red kit on my RSA... it was a custom kit that came with 330x32mm floating hat rotors... the original rotors were Ps.O.S. and vibrated and were just terrible. Since I bought the kit I've just been running stock '94 turbo rotors because they are the only rotor that fits, however... because of the adapter space I have about 3-5mm (depending on brand of pad) of pad overhang on the rotor... no big deal really, it just causes some funny wear patterns and I'm probably not gettign 100% of the brakes capability from them.
I have three options, either buy an entire new kit for a few grand which would be stupid. Find rotors that fit perfectly, or buy new adapters. What I would like to do is just buy new adapters, but I've called like every company that sells big red kits using '94 turbo rotors and they refuse to sell the adapters seperately. The closest rotor is a GT3 rotor, but the offsets are wrong. Does anyone know a source for big red adapters?... short of machining new ones, which I'm probably going to have to end up doing at some point.

Thanks

It appears that your caliper adaptors push the calipers too far from the axle.

3.6t front rotors are 322x32, 330-322 = 8mm&#177 the built in margin = your overhang

just machine the adaptors down like everyone else.

Andrew,
Contact Clint Smith. He's an engineer and fabricator and Porsche enthusiast. He makes 911 products, does strut modifications, etc. I'm sure he'd mod your adaptors for you.

He's currently doing the mods on my 930 calipers to fit 911 trailing arms.

His company is called Rebel Racing in Morro Bay CA.
He's a one man shop, so he doesn't have the luxury of a receptionist, etc.
You may have to provide him the measurements of how much you want to move, but his work quality is impeccable and he's very easy to deal with.

i know... lol, it's more a matter of laziness and never feeling like taking them to the machine shop when i've actually got them off the car. Still, it would be nice to find a rotor that would fit... lol,
bigger is always better... always
