Sell 3.6L engine complete or part it out? $6500

I have available a complete 3.6L engine which is presently disassembled with the intentions of upgrading to a 3.8L this is a very low mileage engine with the newer style sealing heads (post 1992), since it is presently disassembled would it be worth more to part it out versus selling whole? I also have the full exhaust DME computer & wire harness, advice would be appreciated, I have decided not to upgrade to 3.8L and use as a transplant for my 3.2L instead I am selling my 1987 Targa, and the 964 engine and purchase a 993 Thanks, Johnny O complete engine price is $6500 I beleive thats a good fair price

You may want to sell it off it peices or as a whole, not sure what people are looking for these days. I sold off a 3.6 in pieces last year and did okay on it.

If you want to sell all the pieces to make a long block, I may buy that whole part of it....

Cheers

Hi Jeff, I will consider that, by the way the crank was magnafluxed and micropolished the case halves were completely cleaned all parts show no signes of wear whatsoever, again I would hope anyone interested would please send someone over or inspect engine themselves,

IF you can find a buyer for the case and crank you could see 1500 each for them, that is if you can find a buyer. The parts can add up if you don't mind sitting on some stuff for a while. I only have a couple of small items left that I never really advertised. However, if you want it gone, sell the whole thing or the long block and then part out the rest.

It all depends on how much time and effort you want to put into unloading it. For me it has "3.8" written all over it too!!

Cheers
