911.361.020.41 vs. 911.361.020.11 I don't see the difference

I've done the search and can't find it. Is there a difference between 911.361.020.41 and 911.361.020.11? It appears that both part numbers refer to 15x7 wheels with a 23.3 offset.

If these were early wheels then I'd say the 911.361.020.11 were off the rear of a 2.7 Carrera, but the date code on both is 2383 so possibly a mid-80's Carrera?

Does the "11" make these wheels that much more valuable to the right buyer?

41 is the regular 15x7 Fuchs wheel ET 23.3.
No clue what the 11 is.
Sorry.

It's not listed here:

Thanks Bill.

To be clear, are you saying that Porsche changed the part number to 911.361.020.11 for 1978 and later cars which makes the rim nothing special?

yes, from at least '73 through '77, the .11 was used. From '78 > the .41 was used for the same wheel

I didn't research before '73 or after '78 so there may have been other #s used

the special early 7x15 ET49 was the 911r wheel 901.361.012.05

Ok, this is interesting then because the pair of rims in question have 2383 stamped on the inside of one of the "petals" and not near the hub like earlier rims typically are.

This rim has the part number clearly stamped as 911.361.020.11 so now I'm really curious as to what they are.

How do you know 2383 is indeed the date code?

I don't for certain, but there are no numbers stamped in the hub area so logically, this stamp must be the date code.

Do you know what this code is?

I also now see that five at the end. A five digit number would agree with numbers i've seen before, also on the petal near the Porsche part no.

I don't think that number is the off/set. I have the same wheel.

Good eye! Looks almost like a double stamp though. I'm almost certain that 2383 means the 23rd week of 1983 for production.

The 2383 doesn't show up anywhere else and there is no other date stamp on the wheels.

911.361.020.11 which used the 'ring' type centre cap was introduced for the '74 model year (replacing 911.361.020.01 which used the 3-prong centre cap)

911.361.020.41 was introduced in the early '80's - this wheel being slightly thicker (~2mm) to compensate for the 911's increase in weight.

The above information came from Harvey Weidman.

The later 911.362.11x.xx wheels are even better. They were introduced in 84-85. They have much cleaner, sharper lines. The forging shape seems like it was tidyed up.

16x6 Fuchs Variations?

The center caps came from 66mm to 71mm. I guess, the 66mm are without the prongs.

Does anybody know if the center hole in the wheel differs from .01 to .11?
