I've only taken my motor out 3 times on my 1971 911, what everyone says so far seems like good advice. Only difference with me is that I raise the front of mine too. Not as high as the back, but I still raise it. I don't think there is much difference coming out, but it does make it easier going in. Keep in mind I leave the trans in though. Good luck.
