I've been admiring Keith's sculpture work with the flares and was curious what else the Zuffenhaus guys had on the board. The search function turned up some interesting threads. If you tend to go to the 911 Technical Forum and not explore here are a couple of new threads I think you will like, 1984 930 Rebuild, Zuffenhaus and 914-6 G96/50 conversion...

haha - It's actually getting correct mirrors - there were a lot of holes there, plus a couple of dents. gone now, though!

Keith sent me these numbers this morning regarding weight of the shell, "733 before strip, 681 after. (105 lb. dolly weight subtracted out already)". There seems to be some agreement, on this board and others, a striped 911 weighs somewhere in the 640 to 680 lb range (thanks Randy)..... so... looks like there is not a significant weight penalty to starting with a C2 shell. no I think the majority of the lbs that can be removed are in the sound deadner. I recently helped a buddy strip his 964 sound deadner and we put it on a scale... 65 lbs total. Now we used a DA wheel to get everything out we could. So if you take that out, change seats, remove door panels and rear seats/shelf you can really get the lbs down.

Martin, They are the Rallye ST and look the same as the ones Ian just installed in his car. See following thread, 73T - BF Torino Rallye ST Seats 'Are In' and with a UK location I think Keith did have to find a different US source but I'm not sure.... Ed
