Wiring color question

Hi guys,
I'm wiring up an MSD box in a 930 and I've found a nice solution for everything but the power wire color. MSD wants you to run a wire from the battery or the +12V post on the starter (which is connected to the battery). I'm going to run it from the starter, up to the fuse box in the rear of the car and then from the fuse to the MSD box.
My question, Should I:
(A) Use a Red wire so it looks like a factory wire (the defroster in the same fuse block uses the same red wire).
(B) Use a Red wire with a stripe of some other color (like Red w/White like some +12v wires use) so it looks factory-ish.
(C) Use a completely different color (I have some Blue wire in the correct gauge) so the next guy looking at it doesn't get that wire confused with the factory wiring.

Interesting question....

I would follow factory convention, plus keep a copy of "as-modded" wiring schematics for the car in a sleeve...for you ( and the next owner) to use.

I believe factory convention is full red for always hot....white-stripe red for switched-on power.

Of course,....blue would be an immediate clue that this is definitely not factory...and could serve to give pause. Might be a good idea afterall, if this is your concern and no updated schematics are made and kept.

I didn't fuse my main power to the MSD.

If I wanted to "fuse" it I'd use a vapor-less circuit breaker.

As the resident concours wiring geek, I think that the mere fact that you have installed an MSD box instead of a Six-pin Bosch is a signal that the car has been monkeyed with! So I would use yellow, like a banana!

But seriously, any heavy red will do. An MSD is one amp per 1000 RPM. Use 12 gauge.
