another THIEF to avoid on the net

Wayne at Carrera Classics, of Novato Ca. Took my $430 almost 60 days ago and will not return calls or email. I politley asked for my merchandise via 3 telephone calls, 3 phone messages messages and 6 emails. I received Half my order yesterday and noticed the return address is SSF, a parts distributor in the Bay area. I phoned them and was told my order was made by Wayne 2 days ago...and for only half the order.
This guy is a nightmare!!!!!!
I am sicking the BBB on him and posting here, rennlist, PCA, POC, SCCA BB's and any other Porsche affiliated buisness, organization etc. I can find. If anyone has any other suggestions, fire away. Please don't let this common thief take your $$$ too!

Thank you for the info! I have heard poor reports on Carrera Classics before.

I really hope you get your merchandice or money back. I would also suggest that you talk with the manager of the parts house that shipped half your order. Perhaps they can either pressure him into doing something ASAP or perhaps even terminating their relationship.

Good luck pal!

Call the police in the town where the business is located and ask for the fraud division.

Talk to them and ask to file a formal complaint against the business and usually they will have a uniformed officer go and "have a talk" with this joker. At this point the guy has the choice of repaying the bux or getting taken to court by the city.

Worked in my case, as the guy finally figured out that repaying all of us (I knew of over ten people this guy screwed) was cheaper and easier than the "house of doors"...

Guys I think this is the same Wayne who used to call his shop 911 Engine Company. It was in Novato also. I ordered a bunch of stuff from him last year and it took me 10 months to get the parts. The only way that I did was to call the Novato Police ( I live in Arkansas) and an Officer there was kind enough to take a trip out to his place and advise him to get right with me. I never did get every penny's worth, but close enough to call it quits. The officer told me that it looked like a shady operation to him. Like you, he would not return my calls. Made me very angry. I did call the Better Businees Bureau, local Chamber of Commerce and others, but only that police officer's visit helped. Good Luck!
