CV Boot Replacement Link

I have read a lot of articles on this site about boot replacement but I'm a little confused. I have a 1980 SC with a thick flange attached to the boot, the only replacement boots I can find have a thin sheet metal flange. Are these the replacements, can I get the original style? I know there has to be an article about this. Anyone know of a link?
