Short-shift kit

I've had the Weltmeister short shift kit, no short shift kit and now the factory short shift kit installed in my 1979 911SC and here are my observations. The Weltmeister definately gives you the tightest shifting pattern but the factory kit is also a big improvement over the stock shifting pattern. Porsche engineered the "whole" car and if they had wanted to, they could have built a shorter "short shift" kit but decided not to. I think that speaks loudly when deciding which kit to install. The Porsche kit is a better quality kit (I've had both of them layed out side to side) Also, it is about the same price as the Weltmeister.
