Question 1989 carrera speaker problem, please help!

HI i have just changed the front door speakers and they worked fine. I then changed the rear speakers which work fine, but now the front ones dont! I havent changed any wiring just the crimped on parts which connect the cable and speaker.. can anyone help?
Is there a fuse for this or is this something more major?
Any help would be great guys.
Terry

undo the wires at the deck. I'm assuming they are crimped or tapes. They key is that you do it at the deck. Then take a 9 volt battery and attach it to the pos and neg wire going to the speaker. You should hear and see somthing from the speaker. You can also do this with a signal/tone generator. What this tells you is that your wireing is good and it's a deck issue. Also, note if two speakers are making a noise when only one should be. That will tell you somthing is iffy about the wiring. It sounds like a deck issue or you have a short in your wiring somewhere. hope this helps.

Make sure it's not something simple like the fader control on the head unit.
