what routing for crankcase vent hoses w/webers?

I'm in the midst of replumbing/simplifying the hoses on my engine. have webers. can anyone tell me the simplest/easiest way to route crankcase ventilation hoses. have a port in the back of the fan housing which I plumbed to vent housing as pictured. where to go from here? run hose to oil tank opening next to filler? thru a filter to atmosphere? run hose thru 'y' to both carb rain hat holes? please help! emissions not a concern. thanks, Don.

Hi:

You REALLY REALLY don't want to connect that fitting on the fan shroud to the breather,...

That simply pressurizes the crankcase which will blow out out of every seal you have on there and make a huge mess. That curved tube is for MFI-equipped cars, only.

Connect the large spigot on the breather cover to your oil tank using a 901.107.394.00 (as factory) and cap that curved tube on the cover.

One last thing; those dial-type fuel pressure regulators are just junk. They are restrictive as well as do a poor job of regulation. Get a Holley Low-Pressue FPR (0-5psi).

That fuel reg is worse than junk, it's a fire waiting to happen. I use a dual diaphragm reg, although it's over kill for $90.

anyway, i fed the engine breather to the oil tank w/stock hose, attached a normally twisted washing machine drain hose to tank and a K&N breather. Many guys use a oil catch can instead of a straight breather. It works for me as i have a tight engine.

the pic is when new and filter still looks good. The final hose distance and rise is nice although some guys just put the K&N directly on the tank with predictable results.

i forgot which pelicanhead installed this catch can?
