				Front Wheel assembly issue

I've done some stuff to the front end and now I'm adding NERP brake coolers. As I put on the fronw wheel assembly with new rotors I find i have about 3mm space between the inside grease seal and the spacer. When I look at the spacer it looks worn as if the grease seal and hub were right up against it. But somehow I can't get the hub assembly to butt up against the spacer. When I measure the depth from the outside of the grease seal to the inner wheel bearing I get 12mm. When I measure the depth of the spacer its 15mm. Is the hub assembly supposed to go up against the spacer and strut housing? I tapped on the spacer and it didn't seem to want to come off the strut housing. In fact, when I took everything apart, I thought the spacer was really part of the strut. I've looked around and I dont see any parts that don't have a home. Any ideas?

I see you had a recent post so I am reviving this thread in hope of a response. I just ran into the exact same scenerio: Does this look right? Space between front hub dust seal and spindle spacer ring What was your outcome ?

I saw this again recently. took the hubs off to put new disks on. In fact, i think I've had them off a time or two since then (that was an OLD post). The calipers line up fine. Wheel turns fine. they were just aligned ok. I think i'm good.

Thanks for the response. I backed the seal out to take up the space. I think I'm good. It feels solid. Test drive tomorrow.

From the pictures in your other thread it looks like you've got a good setup.
