Not sure if did Valve Adjustment right
Hi, thx everyone for help and info. on my first valve job. I did the backside method and took my time making sure feelers fit. I started my engine and runs smoothly at first seems running good but then a noticed hearing the rockers, valves moving up and down. I'am not sure cause now that i did the job i'am specfly listening to the valves if it sounded the same before cause now iam really listening to them now and just notice hearing them moving up and down.If to loose or too tight would the valve job make such a noise that it would stand out from everything else running if not done right? Should there be no hearing of the valves moving at all if done right? Its a older engine 1980 911SC but been rebuilt 9 years ago. thx

The best description I have found for the sound the engine makes when the valves are correctly adjusted is that it should have the sound of a sewing machine running.
