79 3.0 - dropping idle
when I rev the engine and let off, the revs drop to an almost stall, then return to idle.
any ideas?

Try turning the idle up....if it does it only when warm, you may have a vacuum leak or a airbox leak....
Do you have a pop off valve in the air box?

running problems
last summer it was having hot start problems
Could it be related to fuel pressure accumulator issues?

Hot start can be pressure valve in the neck of the fuel pump....cheap part. The idle is a different issue.....could be fuel pressure related....you need a CIS gauge to test it.
