7x15 fuchs question
Can anybody tell me what the difference(s) are, if any, between the 944/951 7" wheel, and the std 911 7" wheel? No, I'm not talking about 7R rims...I know about those - too expensive.
Thanks Thom |

An option on the normally asperated 944 was the same 7 & 8 x 15 Fuchs as the 911.
The 1986 944 Turbo used 7 & 8 x 16 Fuchs. I don't know of any difference between the front 7" wheels, but the 8" rears were used only on the '86 944 turbo. The only 8" Fuchs that will fit the front of a 911. |

Fuchs used thru '85 are used interchangeably on 911 and 944.
The 7s all have ET+23.3, the 8s all have ET 10.6, They all have 911 part #s Then in '86 the 951 wheel was introduced As Dantilla pointed out, the 944(951) 8x16 w/ ET+23.3mm is different from the 911 8x16 w/ ET+10.6mm and these new wheels w/ 951 part #s all have more brake clearance than earlier 911 part# Fuchs
