Fixed light in trunk....now clock has stopped??
I was fixing some of the annoying little things that bug me the other day.
#1 on this list was the trunk light didn't work. Bulb looked good. I found the hot wire wasn't connected. Plugged it in... nothing. Unscrewed the switch from the hood and found it wasn't even connected, in fact the ground wire was attached to a hex bolt on the underside of the hood! It appears the previous owned had it wired that way for a reason. I then wired the ground to the bottom of the switch, the light fired right up, checked to be sure the switch turned on and off when I closed the hood (it did).....Voila, I'm an electrician! Now the freaking clock has stopped!!! Are these two intertwined somehow? If I have to choose between the two I'd rather have the clock than the trunk light. Call me spoiled.....I want them both. I plan on reversing what I've done with the trunk light this evening to see if this solves the clock issue. Thanks for any advise Sean

Sean,
Are your interior lights working? I once managed to short out the clock and interior dome lights when I meesed with the wiring for the hood light. Maybe just shorted a fuse. Ulrich |
