Wow Fabspeed Cat. loud

Hi, just installed the Fabspeed cat. bypass and delete muffler on a 911SC this afternoon and fired it up . Wow dam thats loud i could barely talk to my buddy beside me without shouting.Sounds like a chopper motor bike.Anyone driving around town with this setup and not being pulled over bye police for loudness? Do SSI heat exchangers and sport muffler sound this loud? Maybe i'll buy a sport muffler and put it on . Whats a good Porsche sounding muffler?

WHAT??????

SSIs are just old style equal length heat exchangers made is Stainless Steel. A proper 2 into 1 or 2 exit banna muffler will both improve performance and dampen the sound.

CIS LIKES a little back pressure.

Maybe start with A MUFFLER. Any one will do. Maybe the one that was on there before.

What's the option code for "muffler delete"?

I have (had) the muffler delete.. I drove it around town on a 3.2 for about 2 months.

yup, it's loud. It's absolutely the best thing I can imagine for scaring the livig crap out of anyone in 30' radius talking on their cell phone in a minivan. -Or harleys.

I never got pulled over with it, and I've the unfortunate luck of being in front of Littleton police before.. -Let's just say I have never before short shifted so well and driven 25 in 4th gear.

I took it off and replace it with a dansk sport. Do I miss it? Hell yeah. Will I ever run it again? nope.

God, it did sound awesome though. Redline with it was pornography.

I normally work a 9-5, but sometimes I get held up.. late, like REALLY LATE..
There have been a few times I walked out to the car at 2am and , "%@#!.. how am goning to get THIS thing home without getting killed by the neighbors?"
That late at night, I was disturbing the sleep of old people and babies for miles. ...all the way back, back, back in culdesac land...
As I said, Dansk Sport. -Supposedly the car is now quieter than my WRX.

bypass

I have an 80SC i run that set up for track days, i usually leave it on for a week or so after, but day in and out does get a bit much. But the sound is GREAT.
I love it when the guys in there little rice cars with their "loud" mufflers pull up next to me, when i throttle up they don't know what to do.
I love it and on the track though it is poetry.
