The 959 had electric fans on the engine grill. You might want to seek out some pics for research.

This is what I have in mind . A couple of SPAL 7" PUSH fans to be located betoween the Tail and the rear condenser instead of the Pull fan of the 959
take a look ![]() Cordially Vic ![]() |

As you can see I plan on using a smaller fan . I have made a dummy wooden template that fits between the Turbo Tail and the rear condenser. SPAL supplied the Graphical sckematic of each product and from those I made the mac-ups

Vic, the tail doesn't leave much room to put a fan flush against the top of the condensor. Do you plan on installing the fan(s) with ducting? Also, I noticed a fairly large gain in both engine cooling and AC efficiencty when I installed the factory tail on my car.

I made a wooden template with the dimensions of the SPAL FAN and it fits real nice. Not much room after that addition between the TurboTail and the Rear Condenser a tight fit but it work at least and they fit real nice. I double check and check. Let see what happens Cordially Vic ![]() PD: I have not been able to upload a good photo since the site don't provide enough room sorry |

Some people who have mounted fans above the rear condenser have had to slightly modify (i.e. cut) the grill slightly to provide clearance for the fans. What might work, instead of cutting, is to lower the condenser via spacers on the mounting bolts to bring it down a little. Just a thought. Might not work with rear wiper cars though. I've got a rear wiper and don't think the spacer idea would work without having to further modify the motor mounting area.

I'll take some Pix with the wooden dummy or mac-up with the same dimmension. I just test fited this contraction between the rear Condenser and the Turbo Tail and they fit . I'm thinking of 3 Fans instead of 2
![]() ![]() ![]() I really want to know if someone has done it before. Besides I just pluged a big channel that usually push some hot ram air to the A/C Evaporator cordially Vic ![]() |

An easier way to make a template to see if they'll fit is with Styrofoam. I attached the Styrofoam to the condenser with a little wire, and then closed the deck lid. If the lid closed easily, and there were no dents in the Styrofoam, I knew I had enough clearance.
