You'll not have any clearance problems with that wheel and adapter setup. The clearance may appear tight, but the travel of the suspension tucks the top of the tire inboard as suspension compression occurs. There's a lot more room to spare under there than you think.
My personal hands-on experiences: 1. A friend (StefanS) with an '87 Carrera runs 225/50-16 Toyo RA-1 tires on Fuchs 7's with 21mm spacers and has tons of outboard clearance, albeit with him running maximum negative camber. That being said there's no inboard clearance issues either. Car is lowered to about 25 in. measured from fender lip to ground in rear. Stock torsion bars, 22mm Weltmeister rear sway bar, HD dampers. Drives like he's on fire on the track and never an issue with rubbing anywhere. 2. One step further...... on my '87 Carrera I have run 16x8 wheels with a +11mm offset on the rear with 14mm spacers and 245/45 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires out back and have had no clearance issues. Mild camber (at best, more like zero probably), lowered to about 25 in. or so, 29mm rear torsion bars with stock sway bar. Not even close to having clearance problems. 3. Even further we go......... on a '89 Carrera Souk runs custom 16x10 steel rear wheels with 265/45 Kumho Victoracers. Standard alignment, maybe a tad high ride height, adj. rear sway bar (probably set pretty stiff), stock torsion bars, probably worn out shocks. No clearance problems and drives the wheels off it at the track. Wil did the formal calculations, I provided some hands on experience with multiple setups equal to or greater than yours with no clearance issues. You'll be fine, trust us!!! ![]()

Kevin , thanks....
My post was simply to "envelope" the various experiences from good to bad.. and provide all the combo's that work within that envelope. That said, although I believe the "numbers"...I find it hard to believe that my rear 7" running 225/50-16's ( rather wide ones at that ... S-02's) with a 21 mm spacer ...that this set up can effectively take another 26 mm spacer...just dunno. - Wil
