MSD Question
My twin plug uses 2 MSD boxes. I want to change the rev limiter chip. Do I need to change both?

You sure do, unless you desire a split RPM limiter setup.

Thanks I figured that.
The bummer is i have to buy 2 packages of chips at $29.95 from Summit Racing, they dont sell individuals. Does anyone have a 8200 and 8400 chip. I only need one of each.

i think it would suck bigstyle
if it suddently goes from twin plug to single plug ignition at those high revs...

ah , i assumed it was a high boost turbo or nutty compression that requires twinplug for health reasons

i guess that it's on the edge for single plug at those revs
sounds like a fun engine

Rather then the plugs, they make an adjustable module that you can attach. It makes it really easy to change the rev limit. Not sure if you could wire both MSD's to a single limiter or not. Maybe Steve knows if this would work. I got the 6000-8200 module on my car.
MSD RPM Limiter They would be $55 each, but it would cover almost the same RPM range as 3 sets of plugs at $28 each. Just an idea.

They are not chips - just resistors with a little plastic around them. Here is what I did when diagnosing a high rpm stumble -- caused by a wrong value resistor they used.
You save a lot of $$ -- just use matched resistors - spec a high accuracy one if you want or hand match them.
