Electrical problem.....69 T
Found that the fuse closest to the engine in the engine compartment (two fuses on left) is not getting power. Cleaned all links, etc....still no power. The left fuse is hot. Where to look next???

Doc,
I think one side is hot always (twin fuses in engine) compartment but the other side is switched (I believe mine is for the rear window defroster?). So it would not be hot unless that switch is on. You really need a wiring chart for your car, then with your volt /ohm meter, start tracing out the circuits. I can scan one today and will email it to you (if I can figure out how to do that?)

Thanks.....I jumped the hot fuse to the "dead" fuse. The wipers, lights and lighter work along w/the instrument panel lights.....definitely need that fuse hot all the time. I still can not start the car;engine does not spin even w/fuses jumped. Not a good way to diagnose the problem.....how do I find short? Or?

Doc,
I can't post the wiring diagram here (they frown on copyright material postings I think). I went to send it through here in a "Personal Message", but see no way to attach a jpg.? E mail me at; moozarks99@centurytel.net My car's wiring is stock except for: battery relocation to smugglers box, under dash Kill Switch, H1 headlight relay kit, third brake light and MSD ignition wiring.

I have a 69 wiring diagram electronically that I would be willing to send. Do you have an email that I can forward it to?

Well, I now have the electrical diagram to work with ....tried using a screw driver across the terminals at the starter. That does cause the starter to turn the engine over. More work tonight when I finish in the med.office.....thanks to all .

Doc,
If you have power at the fuse box in trunk and engine area, can jump the starter... I would now focus on the ignition/starter "switch". It powers up all your gauges, etc. so that may be your culprit.
