When I had my doors modified to Lambo scissors style I had my steering wheel modified so I can tilt it to the right - These two kool mods make getting in and out of the car SOOOO much easier!

"There car. There wolf. There castle."

Brutality aside... tilt steering in a 911? If that's what you want, you have the wrong car.

I could see where being able to position the steering wheel lower than stock would be nice for race seats that sit low. In a sunroof equipped 911 my helmet hits the roof without a lowered seat. Sitting low like that makes the steering wheel feel high - like a bus.

tilt wheel

Mack6820,
I think it's an excellent idea. I'm over 6 ft, and when I get in, I have to contort and force my knees under the wheel, even with the seat all the way back (and I have a slighlt smaller diameter Dino wheel). I've seen some pics of fellow Pelicators, and let me tell you, their steering wheels have to be half buried in their guts, so my guess is that there will be many takers if you have a solution.

Most people simply use spacers with aftermarket steering wheels to adjust the height. Wheels with different diameters help as well.

I was just curious... GEEZ!!! hehe
for real. I have a hard time squeezing in and out of the car with the roll cage installed. I just thought it would make it easier to get in and out.
