From the title, I thought you were counting the seconds until W and Dick are out of office.

We have a winner!

For 2 years I've been trying to source this tick-tick-tick, and gotten advice on the board from worn MFI throttle body bushings, valves, head studs, etc.

None of those fit, and doing the best I could around hot, tight surfaces, muffler and exhaust were inconclusive.

With the motor out of the car, I was going to pull the exchangers and put all new gaskets/hardeware in, and of course that means oil return tubes too (still need a set of good used collapsibles, have new O-rings). By R&Ring the entire exhaust, I'd at least eliminate that system. Last night I was scotch-bright grinding my muffler down prepping for paint and I noticed weld dimples here and there. As I ground a particular rusty area, 2 spots showed up, but couldn't tell if they were through the skin.

With all lights off and a flashlight shining through a muffler intake, little rays of light spilled out of these two spots.

With other dimples here and there, now I'm considering just getting a new muffler all together.

Thanks everyone for playing.

Tim, let me know what shirt(s) you like and size. Not everything is in stock, but I should be able to fulfill second choice if first is gone.

Thanks Shaun!!!!!!

I was shocked to open a package today that contained "multiple" cool little T-shirts with motorcycles and airplanes on them!

My nephews will be thrilled and will no doubt think their "bad" uncle Tim is the greatest uncle on earth! If you ever need a favor Shaun, let me know!

Definitely look me up if you are west or east bound on the Ohio turnpike.

Thanks again
