Great turn out for this event. We had 36 cars, and the weather was perfect!

Anyone making the trek to Lime Rock for the vintage auto fest?
It would be great to get some cars together.

Since it happens on my Birthday weekend, I'm there more years than not!

We'll be there again this weekend and we'll be in a P-car. The kicker is, it'll be a large four-door SUV with a V8 under the hood.

I wish we were taking the sports car but we're camping for the weekend and need space for all the crap.

Let me know if there is going to be a group. I could perhaps carry some essentials for the older cars.

Anyone planning on going to Porsche Fest @ the Larz Anderson museum in Brookline Saturday 9/06/08? Unless saturday morning brings a complete washout, I am planning on heading up (albeit in a Mazda hatchback, not the 911...sigh).

Southeastern, Ma., "Breakfast Club" .
Fri Sept. 19th, Sat. 20th. We will be driving out Fri. afternoon to Lee, Ma. Staying the night at the Rodeway Inn, Lee, Ma., having dinner, telling lies, etc. Sat morning we will have an early morning drive south down Rt7 to "The Garage", 438 Lime Rock Rd, Lime Rock Ct. Frank will do a showing of his interesting cars and the 70S that Steve McQueen drove in the movie "Lemans". Frank will then take us on a run up through the Ct. hills with the McQueen car leading the charge.
Some people are meeting us at Franks, Sat morning meeting time is 9:30. If you plan on attending please let me know so I can plan accordingly, and give info for reservations.

All set with reservations. Unfortunantly I doubt I'll have the Carrera's front wheels back. So Lisa and I may come up in her new C70 hardtop convertable, a beautiful car.

Look forward to seeing you guys. I knew you were having some issues with your wheels, will be good to have that resolved. We have a few cars from Southeastern, Ma. area driving out together Fri. afternoon. once we get out near Springfield we will head off Pike and take some fun roads the rest of the way hoping to meet John F. along the way. I expect we will hit Lee, Ma around 5:30, 6:00. I'll give you a call when we get in.
I know Steve H, Tim G. and a few others will be making the run up Sat. morning, and meeting us in Lime Rock.

We can meet you guys around Springfield as well. We'll stay in the back of the pack , but would be nice to see how this things handles. Will call late next week and see what we can come up with.

That was a great time! Thanks to Frank for his outstanding hospitality and to Paul for organizing the event, it couldn't have been better. 20 cars and drivers showed up....and there were some spectacular cars.

Boy wasn't it. Jim wanna do a separate Steve McQueen 911 thread so the southerners, midwesterners and left coasters, (and the rest of the world ), can enjoy them also? I have some descent pictures from the day but you are the man I hear!
