It is if you know HTML code. Copy your upload location into your PM.

Wayne,

Your forum is absolute top class - and even further improved now! You strike me as an all around wizard. No wonder you have a flourishing business, you most certainly deserve it.

On your original post 'To do list' - what is OT newbie filter ?

I hope you donīt come up with any OT Durn For'ner filters.. SmileWavy

And thanks for bringing back the Spell Check!

Otherwise this new update is wonderful...!

+1

Also, clicking any of the search buttons crashes my browser.

EDIT: I have to take this back, looks like it's been a while since I used this system, and most bords don't even off this, but it appears that in the years since I joined in 01 you have increased the limits.

Yes, I believe that my system for posting attachments where the server resizes for you is superior to the built-in functionality of the forums software. That is why I have disabled the default software and plugged in my own...

Click on the username in the upper left hand corner, and a menu will drop down. Yes, I know the new quirks are not inherently obvious...

Yes, there appears to be many bugs in the latest version of Safari! For all you Mac users who think that Macs are superior to Windows I've got news for you - all computers suck about equally. The Macs just crash a little more eloquently.

I have Safari on this Mac here that I am typing this message with. I will see if I can figure out the problem in the near future.

For now, I would suggest using Firefox to view the site. This is obviously an Apple software bug in Safari - it works fine in Safari for Windows...

Yes, I turned this back on last night - not sure why it got flipped off in the upgrade.

Thanks for the kudos. In the original post, I was deliberately vague about that, but on page 3, only the regular users will read this.

The OT forum has had problems with people (trolls) trying to come there and rile up people and post nonsense. Also, returning users who were previously banned kept signing up for new usernames. So, I placed a few custom restrictions on users for posting in the OT forum to prevent this from happening. Works like a charm. Basically, newbies have to post significantly in the other forums before they can post in OT...

I'll have to take a closer look at this when I return from vacation - it's definitely an Apple bug. I would suggest using Firefox in the meantime...

4x. No change. Only happens on the recent Mortgage thread in OT.

Other posts and functions are fine.

I'll give FireFox a try. Explorer for Mac is way Dead. There are some other probs with Safari but overall I like it. It may be partly due to OSX 10.4.10...or so I'm told. Safari crashes/quits when I click on the user name.

ZOA NOM 07-28-2007 05:32 PM

I'm using Firefox without any noticeable problems.

I do have one last tiny wish, however. In the old format, I really found the Buddy List in the Control Panel useful. I realize it is still available as a menu item, but it was nice to see the list all the time. I use the Control Panel page as a permanent tab in my browser, and navigate from there. It would be nice if the Buddy List was shown just below the other Control Panel menu boxes.

I really like all the features now. Only been here3 months, but the board is very easy to get around, and FASTer than ever.

THanks

Just tried to post in OT - refresh forum topics, shows I responded. Click the thread and my response isn't there.

Do a "find all posts by xxx" and my post shows.

WTF?

Works fine for me, can you elaborate?

Switched to Firefox. Problem solved. I'll be sticking with it as well. Much faster than Safari.

I noticed that the links at the bottom of individual posts no longer contain web and instant message links. Will they be brought back?

I just noticed that instant message links have been relocated and there is an indicator for those that are online now. That's pretty cool. So that really only leaves the web site links. Have they just been relocated and I'm not seeing them?

Works fine now even with Dial-up.
Very nice.

Would love to see mandatory signature showing vehicle type and location. :)

It would prevent unnecessary traffic. :D

Many times, a panic-post comes up like: "Ignition problems, help!"
No year/type of car, no location. LOL. :(
