Our status of "Sr. Member" or "Jr. Member"? Can they be restored? It is a small detail, but I often use the status when dealing with members, buying and selling, etc.

Wayne,
I solved the upload photo problem:
I went to User CP and in the Control Panel I selected, "Edit Options" then at the bottom of the page I went to:Miscellaneous Options

"Message Editor InterfaceWhen posting messages to the forums or other members, there are three interface types available to you. The simplest of these is a simple text box, while the last is a fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use all of these options. If you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type.
Basic Editor - A simple text box Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing Message Editor Interface:"

I changed from WYSIWYG editor to...Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls Enhanced Interface !

Upload photo Problem solved. Brace yourself...here come the photos.... :)

I just noticed that instant message links have been relocated and there is an indicator for those that are online now. That's pretty cool. So that really only leaves the web site links. Have they just been relocated and I'm not seeing them?

I just turned that back on...

You can change that back yourself, or change it to something else...

Hey Wayne,
On the main technical forums page (http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-forums/)

the columns are misnamed. Posts and Last Post column labels are transposed.

azasadny 08-01-2007 08:04 AM

Wayne,
Things look great and the site performs and responds well. Thanks again!

Same for me in Firefox, but the built-in spell checker seems to work quite well enough. I don't know why a "spell check" button is even needed.

Is there anyway to search just the "Official Postive Feedback Thread" or am I missing something?

Edit: Oh nevermind, I had my 8 yr old show me how to do it!

Here's another vote for Firefox for the Mac users. Thanks for the suggestion. I've had it on my Mac for some time now but had used it infrequently. Now that I'm getting used to it, I like it better than Safari.

Very nice!

Loads very fast and I like the feature where you hold the curser over the subject line and read the first sentence.

First thanks for hosting this site it is an great resource. Problems and questions.

1: Is there a way to have the date in threads appear as dates instead of "yesterday" and "today"

2: I also now have large fonts in my mobile 5 device. This makes it difficult to fit on the screen. This was OK before the upgrade.

3: For some reason I can't post pictures. I have tried on a couple of different computers and after what appears to be a successful upload nothing appears in the post. Should I contact a moderator to see if there is a restriction on my account.

EDIT: Also found cure change editor to - Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls Enhanced Interface ! Thanks jhubs

4: The search button now starts with the simple search form. Is there a way to have it search only the forum that you are in when you launch "search". I know I can control this with the advanced search.

EDIT: Just found this one works great.

5: The speed is greatly improved. The slow down issues are gone and general usability is restored. Thanks again.

Goosh 08-01-2007 07:50 PM

Terrific - lots faster - glad you made the change! Goosh

Wayne,

I'm not that much of a tech guy when it comes to PC's and BB's; however, I like the responsiveness and accessiblity of the new variant...many thanks, Val

Drdogface 08-02-2007 07:06 PM

BTW, how do I now unsubscribe to a thread. I used to just click edit and unclick the box that said "email me when a new post...." That's no longer an option I find.
