MFI mixture adjustment "click" question
Hi,
I have a doubt, in the CMA manual says that when you adjust the mixture you can turn only 2 or 3 clicks at a time, why? What happens if you turn it more clicks without starting the engine? Thanks, Josep

Because one click on the main rack makes a large change. You could turn it more, but it will likely make it more difficult to find the sweet spot.
Keep track of every change so you can go back if you make things worse.

Neither of mine click. To my surprise. Is this something to be worried about?

My experience has been after a lot of use the rachet mechanism gets old and no longer "clicks."

Tyson once said you could static tune just about any MFI car by setting the part throttle adjustment 7 (or was it 8 ??) turns from the beginning. Trouble was, I could never find the "beginning". This would be good to know if one ever lost track of where he was. Start over. |

Milt I have no idea what keeps it from moving. Although the screw is still spring loaded so maybe that is what keeps it in place. I heard the 7-8 turns out also. Never worked for me. Only thing that ever helped was getting a Gunson Gas Tester so I could see the results as I adjusted.
