O2 sensor question - 1983 3.0L

1983 mostly stock 3.0L. My O2 sensor wire is partially cut and the bushing/grommet around it (by accumulator) was so dry and aged that I barely touched the thing and it literally fell apart.

Not sure if I will disconnect and retune mixture or repair the thing somehow. My question is this. I thought this was supposed to unplug somewhere there by the fuel accumulator. I must be stupid though because I can't find the plug, and I do not see a picture in my Bentley. Maybe I just missed it. Does anyone have a decent pic they can post here so I can see what it is to unplug?

Many thanks!

The bushing/grommet by the fuel accumulator is the plug. My recollection is that the rubber part is the boot on the wire from the O2 sensor (female side) and the "bushing" is a ceramic (or dense plastic) insulator surrounding the wire and pin connector (male side) from the electrical harness on the chassis. Mine died as well and had to create a connector since there does not appear to be a replacement for the chassis part of the connector (it appears to be an integral part of the wiring harness).

so to actually unplug then, should I CARFEULLY pull on the bare wire itself at this point?

Thanks
