Help with '67 flasher unit!?

I've got a '67 912 and the turn signals won't blink. I replaced the flasher unit, which was an elusive 5 pronged experience (with spade fittings, not a plug-in unit).

It has two independent terminals at one end, a common-two pronged terminal in the middle, and a single terminal at the other end.

The wiring diagrams I have looked at show only three wires (of completely different colors than what's in my car) going into a unit and the terminals have different numbers on the diagram.

Anyone have this experience and know what I should plug in where? I have a red wire carrying 12volts with a siamesed red coming off of it, and a brown ground wire as well as two others of varying stripes.

ANY AND ALL ADVICE WELCOME!

Cheers,

Nick
